Just in case your speakers fail you, I've changed the song to 'Better In Time' by Leona Lewis. This is done in response to Shum's recommendation (look at my taggboard). Since she's so kindly suggested it I should change it, so that Shum knows Ivy values what she says, and Shum better feel both honoured and delighted seeing her BIG NAME mentioned here.
PRINCE GEORGE'S PARK RESIDENCESWhen Junjie told me over MSN this morning that he's received PGP's offer, I could only congratulate him with envy. Because I thought, if I had not remembered wrongly, application results for local students will only be released after 30June. And being an SPR, I reckoned I qualify as a local student and hence, I thought my good news wouldn't be here soon - IF there's good news at all.
But Lady Luck must really adore me, because when I checked my mailbox (a daily routine) after that, the first mail I saw bore the title "NUS Hostel Results for Freshman Undergraduate Students of AY2008/2009"! Looks like NUS thinks I'm an international student this time. No time to waste, I told myself, and found myself waiting for the link inside the email to load in a new tab.
"You have been offered
PRINCE GEORGE'S PARK"
I blinked my eyes a few time to check that my myopia hasn't got worse and it was really PGP stated there, that I really got into PGP, that PGP is really gonna be my home for at least one more year, before hyperventilating.
A good thing about being alone in the apartment is that I can hyperventilate all I want without tarnishing my image. So after sending SMS-es telling people how much Lady Luck loves me, I met Junjie online and we discussed, for a long long time, about what we have to do after this. Things such as when we are gonna be in Singapore, what the best arrangements will be, and which day to check in. And after all the admin stuffs, we drafted our letters for request for early check in and sent them all out to the respective people in charge.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank YOU for smiling at me once again. I LOVE YOU Lady Luck!!
This is for Shum - to answer your burning question, I am going back to Singapore TENTATIVELY on 15th for my camp on the 16th. Then I'll go back to Singapore again on 28th for my registration on 29th and I'll stay in Singapore until December.
How about a date with the bridge kaki's between 28th July and 4th August, eh?
